When I arrived at St. Mark’s in 2021, I was told the website was fine but needed updated. Since then, we have continued to push that very important work off, knowing that it was important but not urgent and could wait a bit longer.
When we merged two congregations into one church, we knew the task had moved from “not-urgent” to “urgent.”
Sadly, “urgent” still took us a year to accomplish!
We are finally ready to roll out our new website. We believe that it’s easier to navigate, more streamlined, and a better representation of who we are. It is laid out with our mission statement as the guideline.
We gather, connect, and serve so all may experience the love of Christ.
We gather in worship with one another and with God. Click on the gather menu item for all things worship.
We connect with one another and with God through small groups and learning and fellowship groups and more. Click on the connect menu item for all of our connection points.
We serve one another and the world through missions and justice and quilts and UWF and Christian Support and our partnerships with Nash and Estes. Click on the serve menu item for our missions and justice work.
We also have lots of other business, so you will see a give button, a section titled “about us” and of course the resources that you might need such as a room set-up form or the vendor form for the Masterpiece Festival.
Friends, we are not a perfect people. While we have combed through this website over and over in the last three months, we are confident that we got something wrong. So we have a form that you can fill out easily to request a change or to tell us about something that’s wrong. We will get it fixed. You can find that form here, or on the Resources page.
For our friends who worship with us online, you will see on the front page an invitation to worship online, and it gives you the option for each campus. We have the bulletin, a section for prayer requests, sign-ins, and more right there on the same page. Please go check it out before Sunday!
Our website is a tool for our members, but its also an outreach tool for the community. We hope this new format to our website is a way to help everyone experience the love of Christ here at St. Mark’s.
