Pastor Kim Ogle, Associate Pastor
Do you ever feel like what you say somehow comes out of your mouth as air, joins with other air particles, and by some other means, ends up as part of a dust storm somewhere in West Texas? Is that just me? With a family the size of ours it’s not unusual to be unheard, or just flatly ignored.
Likewise, with a congregation as large as St. Mark’s, it’s hard to retain all that you hear in the Sunday morning announcements. Do you vaguely remember that, the last two Sundays at the Magee Campus, I have strongly suggested that your blood donation experience will go much more smoothly, if you make an appointment to give? I say that from experience, because I forgot to register the last time. It wasn’t all bad. I got to hang out in the Fellowship Hall and talk to people, as they walked past me to jump into their reservation spot.
Obviously, it’s better to have a little longer wait than to not donate. I’ve had people in my family who need blood donations before surgery. That’s one of the reasons that I donate. This time, I’ll register. I hope you’ll join me.
See you soon,
Pastor Kim
