Want to Volunteer?
Our Missions Committee has a number of opportunities throughout the year for people to volunteer and serve through different projects and various partner agencies. There are also times when unplanned needs arise and we need people “on call” to donate their time and talents.
We all know it takes many hands to carry out God’s work and would be delighted to have people serve on the Missions Committee. Our team meets the second Tuesday each month on our church campus.
Take a look at all the ways you can help support our Missions commitment at St. Mark’s through your time and talents.
Yard work, small home repairs/painting. Services provided to qualified home owners not able to afford otherwise.

Packing Food Boxes at the warehouse.

Volunteers Needed: 8-10 volunteers

Prepare meals for families in crisis, e.g. coping with medical treatments, death, etc.
Date: Once a year, Wednesday, June 13
Volunteers Needed: 10 volunteers

Assist legal immigrants at First UMC (waiting to connect with family members in USA). Provide a welcoming atmosphere and serve meals, do laundry, etc.

Sew large bags for children who are removed from their homes for safety reasons, by Social Workers.

Assist with set up, sales, and clean up for selling produce in the church parking lot.

Knit or crochet shawls for sick & hospitalized people. Make prayer squares for Agua Prieta Children’s Bags.
Date: 10 a.m., Rm 17/18 | Last Saturday each month
Volunteers Needed: Anyone who knits or crochets is welcome

Prepare an evening meal for 100 men living at the homeless shelter.
Date: 2nd and 5th Saturday of the month
Volunteers Needed: A team of four people or committees, groups.
