St. Mark's UMC loves youth!
Youth at St. Mark’s participate in all areas of the church. From our special youth programs to participating in worship, choirs, childcare, missions, and more! There is a place for everyone. We take safety seriously and work hard to ensure a sacred and safe environment for every student who enters this space.
Sunday School
St. Mark’s youth have opportunities to meet for Sunday School every Sunday from 10-11. Sunday School focuses on our spiritual formation, and we have fun, too! Lessons are Bible focused, and written specifically for you. While we wait for our beloved Wesley House to be rebuilt, you can find us in rooms 8/9 each week.
Confirmation
Confirmation is open to young people in grades 8-12, who have not already been Confirmed. The class concentrates on the Bible, history of Christianity and United Methodism, and exploring church membership. Confirmation is a retreat style class that meets 4 weekends per year, and some field trips and special worship services.
Youth Group (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)
Youth Group is open to all students in grades 6-12. St. Mark’s is an open and affirming group for all students. There are no requirements! Whether it’s your first time at a church or you come every week. No matter who you are, there is a place here for you.
Most often held on Sunday evenings from 4-6 p.m., Youth Group is a time of fun, games, fellowship and Christian caring for one another. Specific events and activities can be found in the monthly Messenger newsletter, or on our social media.
Youth Missions
St. Mark’s Youth are mission minded, and strive to share the love of Jesus with the world around them. Regularly throughout the year, our youth group event is a Service Sunday, serving the world around us in fun and unique ways. Students also have opportunities to serve with other students through our summer High School Mission Trips, and Middle School Mission opportunities each year.
