Rev. Dr. Evy McDonald

Dr. Rev. Evy McDonald is a retired Elder from the New York Annual Conference where she served several churches during her tenure. Her last appointment being Senior Pastor at an inner-city church in Newburgh, New York. She graduated from Union Theological Seminary in New York City and obtained a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University. Her passion can be summed up in one word: healing. In Evy’s words, “That means doing my best to live, teach, and learn from Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit how to heal hearts, relationships, broken lives, communities and our planet.” Evy was born and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Benson High School where the mascot was a bunny! She graduated from Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing, then went on to obtain both a bachelor’s and master’s degree (at the University of Arizona) in Nursing. During her nursing career she directed Intensive Care and Coronary Care units, and was Director of Education at one of the first three hospices in the United States. Pastor Evy has lived in Nebraska, Iowa, Arizona, Washington, and New York. She is a passionate University of Nebraska football fan and a Mets baseball fan.
