If you would like to become a member or would like to more information about United Women in Faith or one of our circles, please contact the church office at info@umcstmark.org or 520-297-2062 and we’ll direct your inquiry.
Open to All Women
This organization primarily focuses on educational information and support of missions – locally, nationally and globally.
Unit meetings take place the second Tuesday of each month (except July and August) in Rooms 17/18 or Fellowship Hall. All women are cordially invited to attend. You don’t have to be a member of United Women in Faith or St. Mark’s UMC or any church to come. Programs are planned annually and are designed to implement our purpose (above). Unit meetings start with light refreshments beginning at 9:45 a.m. The program begins at 10 a.m. and a short business meeting follows the monthly program. Watch the church newsletter and/or the weekly Sunday worship bulletin for specific information about monthly meetings and activities.
Elizabeth Circle
The Elizabeth Circle is dedicated to upholding in prayer the mission and members of St. Mark’s United Women in Faith. While we don’t hold regular meetings, prayer requests are shared via email and traditional mail each month, as well as whenever special needs arise. Our primary focus each month is praying for the group or organization presenting the unit meeting program. We regularly send emails to our members, sharing prayer requests from within our community and those brought to our attention.
Grace Circle
Grace Circle is a smaller group of women who meet on the third Tuesday of the month (except July and August). We are the “hands-on” mission group, with program/projects designed to work around the church, or at various local organizations supported by UWF and/or St. Mark’s UMC mission funds. Watch the church newsletter and/or weekly Sunday worship bulletin for specific information about monthly meetings and activities of Grace Circle.
Craft Circle
Craft Circle meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, with additional meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays in July and August. This dedicated group creates handcrafted items for sale at the Masterpiece Festival in November and the UWF Craft and Bake Sale in December, raising funds to support our mission efforts. Donations of craft items are always welcome and greatly appreciated. For more details and updates about Craft Circle, please check our church newsletter and bulletin.
Card Recyclers
Card recyclers use donated cards to make new cards to sell at a nominal fee. Money from this project is donated to Youth on Their Own and the Amphitheater and Marana clothing banks. Donations of cards are always welcome; meeting times are advertised in the bulletin and newsletter.
