Vacation Bible School Is Coming!

While summer in Tucson can be quite hot, it also means that one of the coolest things we do all year is coming: Vacation Bible School! It’s coming June 3-7, 9am-noon.

I love VBS. First, it usually means I have an excuse to dress in costume. Second, it’s just one of the most-fun things we do all year. It’s a whole week of games, crafts, singing, and Bible stories with kids! What a tremendous opportunity it is for us to immerse kids in our church – a loving place where they can come to know a God who’s love changes and shapes their lives.

And this year, there’s a really fun theme: “Camp Firelight!” We get bring the outdoors indoors, and turn the Sanctuary Campus into an awesome camp! We will get visited by our friend “Lumen the Lightning Bug” each day, as kids hear the scriptures that encourage them to face their fears and do great things.

We have a BIG dream this year – we are working and praying to get 40 kids registered! It’s a huge goal, but it’s so exciting to think that we could introduce 40 kids to Jesus this summer.
