This week is our Annual Conference. As the name implies, annually elected representatives from churches around our Desert Southwest Conference come together with all the pastors in the Conference to do the work of the church. We worship, pass legislation, elect people to positions of leadership, worship, and more.

At St. Mark’s, we have four elected members of the Annual Conference – Zachary Rhein, Diane James, Brenda Hunter, and Kelly Deyoe. In addition, all three of our pastors attend plus our retired pastors who are members of this Conference. We have the additional voices of a youth delegate (Kate Bartlow) and the Conference Lay Leader (Alberta Farnsworth). Finally, our youth director, Rachel Mosher, will be leading the youth portion of the event. St. Mark’s will be well-represented!

This Sunday, while we are at Annual Conference, we are blessed to have a morning of music for worship at both campuses. Jane Anderson and Erin Daddona have planned music-filled services for each campus, allowing the words and melodies of our songs of faith speak to us. You won’t want to miss these special services of joy.

And don’t forget Messy Church tonight. It’s a great chance to worship in a different way, and I know you will be blessed by the hard work put into planning it, and by gathering together in community.
