Volunteer Help Wanted for Christmas Season

We gather, connect, and serve so all may experience the love of Christ.

By Rev. Lynn Bartlow, Lead Pastor

Dear Church Family,

The holiday season at our church is a bustling and beautiful time, filled with events, services, and opportunities to bring joy to our community. It’s a time when we all can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, spreading love and goodwill as we share the Christmas story with our friends and neighbors.

Can you help out?

There are numerous ways you can lend a hand! Show up Saturday at the Sanctuary Campus to help families take photos with Santa, eat Christmas cookies, and make a Christmas craft (we gave out nearly 300 fliers and have advertised it in multiple places!). Volunteer as an usher or greeter, parking lot attendant or coffee host at one of our EIGHT Christmas Eve services. Bring a pot of soup to share at our luncheon on the Magee Campus at 11 a.m. on Christmas Eve. The list goes on and on!

Volunteering isn’t just about accomplishing the tasks at hand; it’s about fostering connections, creating cherished memories, and making a positive impact. Whether you have a warm and welcoming smile, a special soup recipe, or simply a heart eager to serve, your contribution is invaluable.

Join us in embracing the spirit of giving by offering your time. To learn more about how you can get involved, please reach out to Tricia at tricia@umcstmarks.org or sign up by clicking HERE (select the tabs across the bottom to indicate which service). Let’s make this season of love and compassion truly special by sharing our time and gifts with one another.

See you Saturday with Santa! Then, we will worship together Sunday on both campuses, pondering the tastes of Christmas as we prepare for the babe born in the manger.

See you soon!
Pastor Lynn
